The Triangle area is world renown for the quality of its medical facilities. Durham is known as 'The City of Medicine'. Duke University and UNC @ Chapel Hill have two of the best teaching hospitals in the world and as a result, this area retains many skilled doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals. The following is a list of the major facilities in the area and in no way covers them all. For those of you seeking employment in the medical fields, most of these sites also post job offerings.

WakeMed - One the largest hospital systems in the area specializing in cardiovascular care, emergency & trauma. They have a unique emergency care unit set up for children.

UNC Hospitals - Features the N.C. Children's Hospital and N.C. Women's Hospital

Durham Regional Hospital - Part of the Duke University system

REX Healthcare (Raleigh) - known for it's birthing center

Duke Health Raleigh Hospital - Cancer center, Chronic Pain Center, Cardiac rehab, Diabetes Center

Raleigh Pediatric Associates - Offices in Raleigh & Garner
