I grew up on the east end of Long Island,NY, in the small hamlet of Hampton Bays, where my family owned a fishing station/marina with more than 70 rental boats. Our customers came from all walks of life and it was there I developed a love of working with people. After graduating college, I was hired by IBM, occupying several positions over a seventeen year period including 10 years in management. During those years, I received several promotions all requiring moving my family to different cities & states. My wife was 8 months pregnant with our first child on the first move! Because of all these moves, I fully appreciate what it takes to pick up a family, especially one with younger children, and make a large move. You will not only find me to be very professional, but compassionate as well.
In 1994, the year following a move from Atlanta to Raleigh, my department was caught up in layoffs. I soon earned my real estate license at the urging of a friend. I was successful immediately being named Rookie of the Year for the company I started with followed by 10 years with RE/MAX where I was a monthly Top Producer many months, ranked within the top 50 RE/MAX agents in North Carolina several years and named to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2005.
Today I work for a smaller, although fast growing local realty company, made up primarily of ex-national realty company Realtors like myself. There was a time when the local companies couldn't compete with the larger national ones, but enhancements with the internet and social websites have changed that. Proof of that is the fact you are reading this.
I enjoy fishing, golfing, hunting, going to the ocean beaches and especially kayaking from the back yard of our home located on the Neuse River in Raleigh. I also love tinkering around our home.
I will be married to my wife, Pat, 35 years this coming August. We have 3 grown children, all still living and working in the area plus a beautiful daughter-in-law. Sharing our lives & home now are 2 cairin terriers (Charlie & Bodie) ; a lab/somthing(s) mix, (Ike) and a healthy 19 year cat (Cleo) plus whatever grand dogs are visiting.
Whether you are relocating here to purchase a home or already here looking to sell a home, let me offer you my years of experience to get you the best deal possible. I also have developed relationships with excellent local lenders, inspectors and attorneys. I live by a motto I was taught from an early age and still live to this day, Treat Everyone Like You Would Like To Be Treated Yourself!!
