Ernie grew up on the east end of Long Island, in the small hamlet of Hampton Bays, NY where his family owned a fishing station/marina with more than 70 rental boats. It was there he developed his love of working with people. After graduating college, he was hired by IBM, occupying several positions over a seventeen year period including 10 in management. During those years, Ernie received several promotions requiring moves with his family to six different states. Because of all these moves, Ernie fully appreciates what it takes to pick up a family, especially one with younger children, and make a large move. You will not only find him to be very professional, but compasionate as well.
Ernie has been a successful licensed Realtor/Broker since 1994 after being layed off from IBM that same year. His accomplishments include numerous sales achievement awards as well as being named to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2005.
Ernie enjoys fishing, golfing, hunting and especially kayaking from the back yard of his home located on the Neuse River in Raleigh.
Ernie is married to his wife of 34 years, Pat. They have 3 grown children plus a beautiful daughter-in-law. He also lives with their 2 cairin terriers (Charlie & Bodie) , a lab mix named Ike and whatever grand dogs are left with him and Pat for the weekend!
