Adams Mountain is a small gated community in north Raleigh conveniently located 3 miles north of I-540 and the Six-Forks exit. The neighborhood is minutes away from shopping and work centers, but you would never know when you drive inside the neighborhood. Homes for sale in Adams Mountain provide a feeling of being in a peaceful, wooded retreat. You are a couple of minutes from the Falls Lake Recreation Area and only three miles north of I-540 with easy access to shopping, dining and entertainment as well as RDU International Airport and RTP. All the amenities downtown Raleigh has to offer is just a short drive.
The neighborhood was formed in the mid-1980s with the first home-owner led HOA in the early 90’s. The neighborhood maintains its own roads, tennis court, and pool with bath house. Adams Mountain is located outside of the city limits, which is great for the Raleigh property tax rate. Property tax for homes outside the city limits is about half as much as for those homes within the city limits.
Adams Mountain is a gated community on weekends and weekdays between 7pm and 6am. Each homeowner has their own unique code to open the gates and has the capability of having guests call from the gate’s security pad.

Prices of homes for sale in Adams Mountain begin in the mid $400,000 and go up to around $700,000. There are a few homes closer to $1Million depending
on the view and amount of land.
