About North Raleigh, Raleigh, NC
Depending upon who you talk to, the boundaries of North Raleigh may be defined differently. North Raleigh is not a valid mailing address but rather a geographic area of Raleigh proper that is widely sought after for purchasing a home. The most common boundary description includes properties north of the Capital Beltline (I-440), east of Creedmoor Rd ( Rt 50) and west of Capital Blvd ( US 1). With the northward growth of Raleigh over the past several years I now have it going north far enough to encompass the new outer beltline corridor (-540) and beyond up to the border with Wake Forest.. Homes in North Raleigh can have some old bones dating back to the mid 1700’s but one can also find plenty of new construction as well. North Raleigh is known for its’ tree lined streets, number of parks including Shelley Sertoma Park which wraps around Shelley Lake, restaurants within walking distance of many homes and friendly neighbors. North Hills Mall, pictured to the left is an outdoor mall and a popular gathering spot because of the number of unique restaurants.
